at all! I still practice law a little bit, but most days you can find me at the coffee shop up the street from our house, working on my next book! I’m into food and movies and yoga and I’m mildly obsessed with hotels. with my him and our three year old daughter on a beautiful tree lined street that doesn’t feel like L.A. After that was law school, where I met my husband. Like Abby, I grew up in Atlanta and went to Yale for college. TDQ: Okay, now that I’ve got a bit of my gushing out of the way, would you like to tell us a little bit about yourself? So with those ideas in mind, I set out to find a new way to explore these ideas, and I entangled parallel worlds is what I ended up with! What’s happened in the past and what will happen in the future, those things are out of our reach. That’s something that’s true for all of us.

I knew I wanted to tell a story about destiny and soul mates and the power of our choices, and I knew I wanted to give Abby an experience that would force her to come to terms with the fact that the only moment she can control is the present one. Lauren Miller: Thank you! Parallel was very much an evolution. How did you come up with the idea for such a unique book? The Daily Quirk: First of all, I just want to say that I absolutely LOVED Parallel. Miller was kind enough to chat with us about her incredible book. Each day she discovers more about her parallel self’s past and has to learn how to cope with the fact that each new decision her parallel makes could change her life forever. and having a role in a sure-to-be-blockbuster movie, she is studying journalism at Yale.
